Description

Employees with occupational exposure can encounter blood or other potentially infectious materials (OPIM) through cuts, mucous membranes, or parenteral contact. This course explains OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogens standard (29 CFR 1910.1030) and shows how to reduce exposure with engineering controls, PPE, safer work practices, and clear post-exposure steps. Employers must maintain an Exposure Control Plan (ECP), offer the Hepatitis B vaccination, and provide post-exposure evaluation/follow-up.
