Heat is a leading cause of weather-related deaths, resulting in hundreds of deaths each year. Many workers are exposed to extreme heat conditions during the booklet of their work day, especially those doing heavy work tasks or using bulky or non-breathable protective clothing and equipment, and are at risk of heat stress.
